Waste Operator Walcha Council
We are looking for an Operator to provide services at Council’s Waste Transfer Facilities, as well as Roadside waste collection services.
The Position
This position is required to carry out a variety of tasks associated with the efficient and economical operation of Council’s Waste systems including operation of Waste Transfer Facilities and Roadside Waste collection for the Walcha Community.

About You
You will have experience operating small plant and machinery, and have (or be willing to obtain) an LR Licence. You will have experience with customer service and be able to process fees and charges for ratepayers and members of the public. You will be practical and have a can-do mindset. You will be operating a Fork Lift and Skid Steer and other plant as directed. You will be able to work as a valued member of a small high performing team, and work independently as required, and possess a good driving history.
What we Offer
This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week) starting at $1008.70 per week (gross), based Band 1 Level 3 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. You will enjoy one RDO every fortnight.
