About the Position:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and tech-savvy Learning Environments & Data Administrator, passionate about data and technology, and sees its potential in transforming learning environments. This position reports to the Manager of Learning Environment Services and is critical in developing and maintaining the University Learning Systems and Environments and related systems and technologies.

A key responsibility of the position is to develop innovative approaches to gather data from various learning systems and collaborate with our skilled data analytics team to provide comprehensive operational reporting and analysis to our university colleagues.

Other areas of responsibility will be in establishing and documenting processes enabling the creation, monitoring, and maintenance of subjects, courses, and communities within and between Learning Environment systems. There will also be the opportunity to work closely with our integrations team to ensure seamless data flow between systems and provide valuable insights for future integrations.

As a vital team member, you will have the opportunity to engage regularly with our Office of Learning and Teaching and a range of stakeholders across the University.

About the person

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with solid attention to detail and excellent communication skills. They thrive in a collaborative team environment and are excited to contribute to the continuous improvement of our systems and support the needs of staff and students.

Key competencies/behaviours:

  • Tertiary-level qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical training and support for online learning environments
  • Advanced knowledge of system testing and troubleshooting strategies and procedures
  • Ability to write and interpret basic SQL queries.
  • Ability to utilise Microsoft 365 applications such as PowerAutomate and PowerBI to optimise business processes and present data.
  • Knowledge of good practice in learning material development for web-based systems
  • Effective prioritisation skills to manage workload and business or project deadlines.

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $88,971.10 (Full Time Equivalent) plus 12% superannuation per annum.
