Where you'll be working
The Paediatric Ward at Hornsby Hospital is a 10 bedded inpatient ward. The department caters for children from 0-17 years of age caring for all specialities including Medical, Surgical, Orthopaedics, Respiratory and Eating Disorders. The unit is a welcoming environment and offers a supportive and fun team to work with.
What you'll be doing
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).
- Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- Demonstrated computer skills with experience using MS Office programs and electronic filing systems.
